Commissioning Fine Art
Commissioning a fine artwork begins with a free consultation. Client and artist discuss the subject matter to be painted and reference material is looked over and agreed upon. Some works commissioned dealing with rendering from photography (portraits, estate paintings etc.) will most likely not require preliminary sketches. Any commissioned art work that requires detailed layout or the artists design will involve preliminary sketches to be approved. These sketches if needed will be paid for in advance to the artist. The preliminary sketches are sent to the client along with a job estimate for approval. One half of the project total is then required for materials, etc. The project is then scheduled. Upon project completion, pictures of the finished work are sent to the client along with a request for the remaining half of the total payment. Upon receiving the payment in full the completed artwork (unframed) is well packaged and shipped to the client. Included is a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
